Most of the external parts such as the slide, frame and barrel, are made with high strength ABS, this greatly reduces the over weight of the gun and allows the pistol to cycle faster. Internally, the TSD M9 uses a lot of metal parts to ensure reliablity and durablity. Just like most gas powered pistols the M9's slide will cycle with every shot, giving you realistic recoil and blow back action and will lock back when out of ammo.
