The FAST (Future Assault Shell Technology) Ballistic Helmet is the newest set of tactical helmets that is currently being used by various military and law enforcement units around the globe. Designed to be lighter than most tactical helmets, the FAST helmet uses advanced materials to greatly reduce the weight of the helmet while increasing impact or ballistic protection to the user. Because of its distinct profile, comfort and its prolific use by both the military and in media the FAST helmet is an extremely popular piece of head gear for most airsofters.
Based on the model used by Special Operational Forces, the Basic Version of the Lancer Tactical PJ Fast Helmet is an affordable means to provide airsoft operators some sort of tactical head protection. Utilizing quality ABS construction, the helmet is very light, but does not sacrifice quality or durability. Unlike higher end FAST Helmet replicas, the Basic uses a hard foam interior and feels similar to a bicycle helmet. While this reduces the amount of adjustability seen on said higher end replicas, this reduces the overall cost of the helmets and still providing excellent protection to impacts and bumps. The shell features ventilation holes to provide the user with maximum air flow and reduce trapping heat inside the helmet. The PJ FAST helmet features a night vision mount that is molded onto its shell and a set of adjustable rail connection channels on the side.
